Who: girls in Grade 6
When: February (Registration opens November 1)
What: A fabulous day of science, engineering & technology activities for 600 Grade 6 girls and their teachers.
Tales from the Science Buffalo
Who: Grade 6 classes in Aboriginal communities
When: 6 presentations throughout the school year (three 2-day visits)
What: A series of interactive and hands-on classroom presentations that honour Aboriginal Ways of Knowing and introduce careers in the sciences.
Who: young women in high school
When: late November (Registration Opens Oct 1)
What: A one day Science, Engineering & Technology conference that provides 200 young women in grades 10-12 with the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiences and learn more about careers and studies in the SET fields.
Summer Research Program
Who: young women and men who have completed Grade 11
When: July-August (Registration window Feb – April)
What: For 40 young women and men completing grade 11. This unique program allows students to work in research teams in fields such as science and engineering (female) and nutrition and nursing (male).
